SRO

A graphic honoring National SRO Day, featuring a portrait of Officer Warren inside a circular gold border.

Leesville Junior High is proud to recognize our School Resource Officer, Mr. Russell Warren, for the positive difference he makes in the lives of our students and staff each day.

While the safety and security of our campus are important parts of his role, Mr. Warren's impact extends far beyond those responsibilities. As an SRO, he has the unique opportunity to build relationships with students, serve as a trusted adult on campus, and help young people develop a positive understanding of law enforcement and community service.

Mr. Warren's dedication to students has also earned recognition outside of LJH. He was selected as a recipient of KALB's Golden Apple Award, an honor traditionally associated with outstanding individuals making a difference in education. His recognition was especially meaningful because he received the honor while serving students through law enforcement rather than as a classroom educator.

That distinction reflects something our students and staff already know: education takes an entire community. Teachers, administrators, support personnel, families, and community partners all play an important role in helping students succeed.

We are grateful to have Mr. Warren as part of the LJH family and appreciate the relationships he builds, the example he sets, and his continued commitment to keeping our students safe while being a positive presence in their lives.
