LJHS Family and Friends,
This letter is written to update our LJHS students, staff, and community concerning COVID-19. Vernon Parish School Board Superintendent, Mr. James Williams, has announced a few changes to plans for schools and the Central Office.
a. All schools and offices will remain closed until further notice.
b. Only schools that are designated sites to distribute school lunches from 11:00 AM – 12:30 PM will be open for students to get a “grab and go” lunch.
I agree with Mr. Williams when he says, “These are very trying times” with the priority during this time being safety for our students, employees, and community members. Please be patient as school officials and leaders do the very best to follow safety guidelines.
In support of the “Stay at Home Order,” issued by Governor Edwards, the school office will remain closed and no one allowed to enter the school, except the custodial staff as needed. However, I can be reached at firstname.lastname@example.org. Updates will be posted on the Remind app, school Face book page, and the school website will be updated as much as possible.
Please remember to refer to the online resources as well as updates on the Vernon Parish School Board website, www.vpsb.us. I hope we all stay safe.
